n order to make themselves look like a professional army, the irregular troops of the Polish Armia Krajowa (AK) attempted to use a standard uniform whenever possible. In the early hours of the rebellion a few Kedyw units 'liberated' a large quantity of Waffen-SS uniforms. incorporating them into their units. However not all AK troops were able to get a hold of uniforms and had to make do with what was available.
